Custom 5-Inch and 6-Inch Gutters, Fabricated On-Site
We fabricate seamless gutters on-site and cut each run to your exact roofline, in 5-inch or 6-inch K-style or half-round, in aluminum, copper, or galvalume. No joints in the middle of a run means no leaks in the middle of a run.
We size the gutter for your roof area, set the pitch toward each downspout, fasten for hail, and place the downspouts to carry water well clear of the foundation. That is the difference during a North Texas downpour.
Gunter Gutters fabricates and installs seamless gutters on-site for homeowners and builders across the Gunter area. Reach out for a free quote, and we will get started.

Why Seamless Instead of Sectional
Older homes around Grayson County mostly have sectional gutters, which depend on sealant at every joint to stay watertight. That sealant fails, and once one joint leaks, the fascia behind it starts to rot. The gutter is the cheap part of that repair.
A seamless run has no joints except at the corners, where we seal the inside and rivet the outside. There is nothing in the middle of the run to fail.
Size, pitch, rivets instead of screws, and downspout placement separate a system that lasts two decades from one that fails in two years. We build for the long end of that range.
Gutter Sizes and Profiles
5-inch K-style gutters. The standard choice for most single-family homes in Gunter. K-style has a flat back that attaches directly to the fascia with rivets, and the decorative front face looks like crown molding from the ground.
6-inch K-style gutters. 6-inch K-style. The larger option for two-story homes, steep rooflines, and the new construction going up along the 289 corridor.
Half-round gutters. A classic round profile for older or architecturally styled homes. Nothing catches in the corners, so it stays cleaner than K-style.
Materials We Install
Aluminum (the standard). Durable, lightweight, rust-resistant, and available in more than 20 baked-on colors. Aluminum is the most common choice for Gunter-area homes and typically carries a 20-year manufacturer’s warranty.
Copper. A premium option for homes where appearance matters. Copper develops a natural patina over time and can last 50 years or more. Expect to pay roughly three to four times as much as aluminum.
Galvalume. A steel option coated with aluminum and zinc for corrosion resistance. Galvalume is a strong choice for heavy-weather areas and works well on larger commercial buildings and homes with long, steep rooflines.
903-582-6263Do You Need 5-Inch or 6-Inch Gutters?
5-inch handles most single-story homes in Gunter with a standard roof and a moderate pitch. We install it most often, and for those homes, it is the right call.
6-inch is the answer when the roof feeds more water than a 5-inch run can carry. Two-story homes, steep pitches, long unbroken rooflines, and large valleys all fall in that group.
A 6-inch downspout moves roughly 40 percent more water and pairs with 3×4 downspouts instead of 2×3, which is usually what decides it. If your gutters overflow in a hard rain even when they are clean, the size is the problem, not the debris.
We calculate the drainage area before we quote, so you don’t pay for 6-inch gutters you don’t need or live with 5-inch gutters that cannot keep up.
903-582-6263When to Replace Your Gutters
New construction or no gutters at all. Any new home in Gunter or the surrounding area should have a gutter system installed before the first rainy season. Builders sometimes leave gutters off the base package, and homeowners finish the job themselves.
Old sectional gutters with widespread leaks. Sectional gutters with multiple leaking joints are almost always better replaced than repaired. The cost of fixing every seam is close to the cost of a new system that will not have the problem again, which is the point where gutter repair stops making sense.
Rusted or corroded gutters. Rust at multiple spots means the metal itself has failed, not just the sealant. A replacement is the only real fix.
Sagging or pulled-away runs. Sagging caused by rotten fascia or bent metal usually means the gutter cannot be returned to proper pitch. A new installation that includes fascia repair is the cleaner path.
Hail damage that exceeds repair cost. A single bad hailstorm can dent and puncture enough of a gutter system that full replacement makes more sense than patching. Insurance often covers this.
903-582-6263Our Installation Process
The project starts with a free on-site assessment. We measure the roofline, calculate the drainage area, talk through color and material options, and recommend gutter size and downspout placement. You’ll receive a written estimate before we schedule any work.
If we are replacing existing gutters, we remove the old system first. We pull the fasteners, take down the sections, and inspect the fascia behind the gutter for damage. We complete any necessary fascia repairs before installing the new gutter.
Then we fabricate the new gutter on-site. Our gutter machine runs coil aluminum, copper, or galvalume through rollers that form the profile, and we cut each run to the exact roofline length. There are no joints in the middle of the run.
Installation begins at the highest point of each run. We place hangers every 2 to 3 feet and set the gutter at the correct pitch so that water flows toward the downspout. Rivets secure the pieces, and we seal the corners on the inside and rivet them on the outside for a watertight joint that will not fail.
Finally, we install and test the downspouts. Each downspout is sized to the gutter it drains into, elbows are set to direct water away from the foundation, and we flush the entire system with water to confirm proper drainage. We clean up the job site completely before we leave.
